“Démodé” Painting

Lele Carrington, a Dubai-based rising artist, is known for his expressive paintings and love for a rich palette of colours. Being a people’s person, he likes to draw colourful abstract paintings of people inspired by their backgrounds, history, and stories. He is of Argentinian and Italian origins and has been living in Dubai for the past 15 years which he now calls his home. A self-taught artist with a passion for art, self-expression, vivid colours, creativity and what it entails. He got into art as a result of his lingering passion, as a way of expressing his emotions, dreams, people and things that he interacts with daily. A major influence on his art is his travels and trips around the world, where he felt that different cultures, fashion, arts, music and pop culture directly inspired and affected his art. His favourite things consist of pop art, modern art, contemporary art, street art and graffiti, as is apparent his paintings. He believes that his art attracts people who are moved by creativity, who refuse to adhere to the norm, and the ones who love bringing beautiful spaces into life through evocative paintings.
