This light and sunny oil painting from series “Hot Summer” relives memories of sea vacations, sand beach, and the views one often gets while sunbathing. To the contrary with most of my other works, which often contain some hidden meanings and stories, in the “Hot Summer” paintings you get exactly what you see: summer, sun, beach, relaxation, and of course beautiful women.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"The Beach Reads" presents an oil on canvas masterpiece by Alexander Levich, a tranquil scene that encapsulates the essence of summer leisure. The artist captures the relaxed postures of beachgoers lost in their books, the warm tones of their skin complementing the cool blues of the sea. Levich's painting is a nod to those moments of summer that offer a respite from the hectic world, where the only concern is the turn of a page. The series, taking its name from a Tinto Brass movie, hints at a deeper narrative behind the tranquil beach setting, inviting a sophisticated interpretation. For those seeking art that captures the beauty of summer relaxation with a hint of cinematic allure, "The Beach Reads" is a perfect blend of both.

What is the most important thing in life? It's not the external surroundings but our inner world. Painting serves as the key that unlocks this realm. By following this path, one learns not just to look, but to truly SEE. Through my art, I delve into profound content. Painting becomes a medium of communication, a canvas for thoughts. The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here. If you would like to delve deeper into my portfolio, view additional paintings beyond those displayed on this website, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via email at a.levich@protonmail.com. You are also warmly welcome to visit my studio in Kyiv. Thank you sincerely for your interest.
