Jessamyn Go is an Asian American, ceramic artist, educator, and environmental conservationist, renowned for her textural biomorphic sculptures and community contributions. She is the founder of Femme Sole, an artisanal ceramics brand Creating unique Functional Design and sculptural art. Her studio is based in Mastic Beach on the East End of Long Island, New York. Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, Jessamyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from New York University. In 2018 Jessamyn began her journey in the craft of ceramics. In 2019 she transitioned from a 20+ year career in luxury retail management to ceramics full time. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she moved back to Long Island and successfully leveraged social media and local farmers markets to sell her ceramics during the shutdown, which in turn funded the gradual construction of her home studio in Mastic Beach, NY. Jessamyn's distinctive artistic style quickly gained local acclaim, leading to wholesale partnerships and opportunities to teach public ceramic workshops and private sessions in her studio. She is actively involved with several artist organizations, including the Clay Art Guild in Watermill, NY, The Montauk Art Association, The South Bay Art Association, Guild Hall, The Patchogue Arts Council, and Gallery North. Her work has garnered international attention, with her Femme Sole Signature Collection showcased at prestigious exhibitions such as 1000 Vases in Paris and Milan in 2022, and Red Dot Miami. Jessamyn has also received four 1st Place awards and exhibited her art at notable venues including the Every Woman Biennial, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Parrish Art Museum, The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn, Guild Hall and various galleries and museums across Long Island. In addition to her ceramics, Jessamyn is a founding member of the Mastic Beach Conservancy. She serves on the board and the fundraising committee, organizing events to support their conservation initiatives. Jessamyn Go's commitment to artistry, education, and environmental conservation continues to inspire and impact both the artistic and local communities. Her ability to merge creative expression with a dedication to teaching and environmental stewardship highlights her multifaceted contributions and enduring influence.
