Asma Tariq, an artist, holding a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Institute of Art & Design - University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
Asma's work revolves around all mediums, ranging from oil paintings to water colors, acrylic, pastels, pencil & charcoal sketching and realistic / abstract sculpture. She has the honor of attaining a position in the group of first Traditional Miniature painters at the Institute of Art & Design. A major part of Asma's paintings are inspired by nature, reflecting the true beauty of nature, along with peace and relaxation. Either its oil or water, or it is realistic or abstract; each of her strokes is about praising the beauty of nature that Allah has blessed this world with.
Her distinctive paintings are the ones that are inspired by classic Mughlia style. They comprise of highly detailed work that is only possible by using a hand made one hair paintbrush. In order to give intricate details, a magnifying glass is used to attain finest perfection down to the tiniest micro details. To further enhance the classic Mughal style paintings, rich real gold paste is used to paint the jewelry in such paintings. These unique and classic paintings reflect emotions and feelings of love. Another exclusivity about these miniature paintings is the hand made touch; each and everything is hand made, ranging from the one hair paintbrush, to the sheet and all the way to the real gold paste.
