My way of conceiving non-figurative art recalls the need of creating a new language preferred to the figurative one because freed of any pre-established meaning of it's symbols. Having minimized my alphabet to lines and colours, the importance of the art-making process is to combine those single units into an arrangement of elements that constitutes an assertion. Like composing poetry, "new" is about how things are put in order to create another world.
