You must wake up.” is a series of collages by Ewa Pasternak, a Polish visual artist. The project is based on archival photographs from the 1950s and 1960s by the iconic Zofia Rydet. It enriches the old material with new content on contemporary culture with an ecofeminist approach. It also shows an intimate and personal approach of one artist in the context of the artistic practice of another. Photographs by Zofia Rydet were used with the consent and kind support of the Zofia Rydet Foundation. Curated by: Anna Chromik. The title is a line from the book “The Lord of the Ice Garden” by Jaroslaw Grzedowicz. The scholarship program of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland supported the project. Premiere on the 30th of August 2020.
