Collage is my favorite painting technique that allows one surface to stand out from the rest of the surface by any quality either in color or shape or texture. Creating my collages has several stages and the process itself takes several days. Phase one, I use different types of oil paint, acrylic, house paint colors, ink, which I brush on paper or paint colors on the surface and let the colors themselves blend and dry and create interspersed and unpredictable prints. Phase 2, when the paint dries, I begin to cut and select the appropriate shapes which become a realistic or abstract composition and the collage takes form. When I reach equilibrium so that, for example, the left and right surfaces have one ratio of the surface then their weights are equal to, or balanced by the contrast and unity. Phase 3, I finish the collage with spray paint or very rarely use magazine paper. My work is never finished, it can always change and improve even after a few years.
