She is an architect and independent researcher with extensive experience in the fields of architecture, the visual arts and arts education. She holds a degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and a specialisation in Visual Arts Education from the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University (FFCS-UCP), having furthered her studies at the École d’Architecture de Paris-La-Seine (Erasmus). Since 2001, she has collaborated with various architectural practices, developing projects in both public and private contexts. Her practice brings together architecture, arts education and visual culture, guiding pedagogical and design strategies based on principles of inclusion, sustainability and critical thinking. She works in the fields of vector drawing and analogue practices, exploring hybrid methodologies that blend digital media with manual processes. She considers aesthetic experience and art education to be key components in the holistic development of the individual, promoting processes that raise awareness of the surrounding world. Her career is also characterised by multimodal training and inter- and transdisciplinary approaches, fostering a holistic understanding of contemporary spatial, cultural and social systems.
