Jean-Jacques ANDRE realizes creations
since the 1980s mainly
collages and mixed media.
By its material, the advertising poster
and the creative process that begins in the street
- tearing - laceration - tear -
is identified as Street Art.
"The poster allows me great freedom of composition
by the technique of gluing and taking off.
I have always been close to the sensitivity
New Realists and Pop Art
(popular art in the noble sense).
Artistic transcendence of reality,
matter and signs that cross our lives.
To summarize the evolution of my artistic career
I have developed three collections at the same time even though
I focus more and more on a refined work
a sort of minimalist Street Art sketch.
My first large collages from 1990
were minimalist, close
of colorful musical compositions.
My artistic work has transformed
to take charge of stories, sensations,
fleeting impressions that cross me
during my urban expeditions.
I then developed collections
with my privileged themes
on the memory of beings and cities,
urban confinement the trip etc ...
In recent years,
my creations are refined to end in works
more minimalist and abstract, interior and sensitive.
I explore the strata of time to achieve
to a kind of tear aesthetic. "

d'impressions fugitives qui me traversent
lors de mes expéditions urbaines.
