"Bayside Avenue No.5" is an original contemporary mixed media artwork inspired by nature...influenced by both garden and water elements. The leaf shapes are a combination of (hand-cut / hand-painted) gold and blue with pages from vintage etiquette books. The shapes are densely layered organically and then geometrically to play off the natural organization and spontaneity found in nature. Do you see the falling petals and leaves with a hint of shimmering fish? This is a subtle suggestion of land and sea - a dynamic I am forever investigating. {+} "Bayside Avenue No.5" arrives pre-matted and mounted on a crisp white 8-ply archival, 16w x 20h gallery style mat with an 11w x14h mat window. If you prefer to not have it matted, the piece can easily be removed from the mat backer board. {+} Created with gesso, pencil, acrylic, paint, medium, vintage books on archival 300gsm paper. {+} Will be carefully packaged including a pH neutral barrier to protect the surface {+} Signature / date on the back, small signature on the front right corner and COA ---------- Specifications at a glace: Work: original artwork, one of a kind, unframed, pre-matted Medium: gesso, pencil, acrylic, medium, paint, vintage books on archival 300gsm paper. Sara Richardson is a professional working artist based in Virginia. Her artwork is poetic and hopeful with a dash of mystery. She explores the emotional relationships between nature and humanity by creating expressive, high-contrast gestural works that reflect abstracted sentiments, curiosity and wonder. +++ "My work explores the complex relationship between nature and what it means to be human in our contemporary world. To seek and discover meaning in unexpected ways. I have found, you can not have a complete understanding of joy without sadness; happiness without sorrow or beauty without an edge. Therefore, a thread of contrasting emotions in my work is always present to bring these complexities into the foreground...this is what makes the work feel like visual poetry." +++ Learn more > @ SaraRichardsonArtist
