VIEW IN MY ROOM
This work is inspired by myriad faces of women...The face has always fascinated artists; from the mysterious Mona Lisa, the serene, elegant women of John Singer Sargent, the multi-profiled models of Picasso, the colorful graphic faces of Andy Warhol, artist over the centuries have peered into faces to examine their souls. Today, with facial recognition software, ethics come into play with issues of consent, privacy, and surveillance. Technology has also allowed a universal computer representation of a person who doesn’t actually exist.
