This is a Tibouchina, commonly known as a glory flower. The current place I reside is teeming with birds and flowers, resembling a little paradise—the initial abode my husband and I shared as newlyweds. I fervently wish never to part from this haven, endeavoring to capture its essence through my paintings and carry it with me throughout my life. It holds an unparalleled significance, being the dearest place in the world to me. The flower itself conveys feelings of lust, intimacy, passion, and beauty—qualities I associate with my husband. The space beneath the flower remains empty, symbolizing the boundless unknowns of time and the future. I trust you find as much joy in this piece as I do. I experimented with collage, a technique I've been exploring for nearly two years, incorporating elements of photography, watercolor, and digital art. The vibrant colors provided by the digital medium evoke a sense of vitality, capturing the essence of the moment. This digital artwork will be printed for you on matte paper, allowing you to fully appreciate its beauty. It comes unframed, and I recommend framing it for display. Hardware is not included.

Ecuador
An Ecuadorian artist, navigates the local artistic landscape with a distinctive approach, diverging from the typical dichotomy prevalent among Quitenian artists. Rather than aligning with the bohemian left or the elite, art-educated right, Angela embraces her identity as an ambitious Quitenian with a down-to-earth perspective. Balancing her artistic pursuits with a middle-class sensibility, Angela introduces a unique voice in the narrative of Ecuador's art scene. She modestly considers herself a sui generis expressionist, influenced by her early exposure to art through her mother, Angie, and the captivating oil-painting sessions with her aunt-in-law, the esteemed artist Micaela Almeida.Angela's artistic journey began with humble doodles of flowers, symbolizing intimacy and family bonds. Her style, marked by an indiscriminate use of colors, reflects her innate creativity. Turning to digital mediums for expression, she reserves traditional materials for moments of artistic freedom. Angela, embracing vulnerability, desires a return to the simplicity of white canvases. She discreetly embeds messages in her art, inviting viewers to discover joy in nature scenes, and showcasing Quitenian humor with humility and depth.
