View in a Room ArtworkView in a Room Background
Curators, collectors and designers are encouraged to view my small collage as potential multiples for exhibition installations and picture wall displays.
Requires framing to be properly displayed.

Upon entering a room(and seeing little but the space enclosed) you note the passage to another room within. Here you note that across 2 walls these words are scrawled, "Nare do see fare to su. Ohn day fairn Lear du gust. Nare do zine wen ze Nare. Opt to zinech Rite ahn loohen."
Reading a second and third time doesn't clarify anything and you are frustrated by the presence of language leading to the absence of meaning. Stranger still the small paragraph of text has slid across the floor like the crawling shadows of interior curtains tracing the motion of exterior headlights of a passing car(probably a Tesla). Now the text is broken by a corner between two walls. The words in the center are small and focused but the words which trail out away from the corner blur and distort in typographical rays of light. You( and I don't know you but I assume I know what you do in peculiar circumstances) step closer, close enough to the language to be near it but not in it (like a simile or surrogate). You see now that what you thought was a corner receding is actually (and I use the word lightly) advancing in fact (let it go, I know this is all fake) in an accordion ripple shared by the adjoining walls. The whole goddamn place is a bellows breathing in and out; an origami nightmare or architectural miracle (you pick; either way I'm celebrating) true story. Up til now it's been silent (pictures usually are unless you rip them) but now there is a low close murmur and freaky as fuck you hear someone whine, ""Nare do see fare to su. Ohn day fairn Lear du gust. Nare do zine wen ze Nare. Opt to zinech Rite ahn loohen."" I shit you not. Super weird (thus the double quotes). If the narrator (yours truly) isn't whining it and you (whoever your spelunking ass is) isn't whining it who...wait I lost my train of thought. Anyway the ceiling has those plastic stars that soak up light during the day then glow at night so you figure you'll calm your rattled nerves and check those out instead of listening to and/or puzzle over the "Nare do see fare to su yadda, yada, yadda..." Relief is not granted in fact relief steps back, it literally recoils and the ceiling goes with it so now you're looking up for plastic stars but instead you see the silhouette of a little girl standing stock still with her back to you. "This is an affront" your mind protests (it never shuts up) "this can't be happening!" (deny it adamantly; that'll help) "I'm a little girl!"(news to me) With this revelation you spin around to see an ornately framed mirror. In it you see your girlish self and the room doubled. The bellows wall is there behind you and it occurs to that the sound it makes as it compresses and expands is "Nare do see fare to su. Ohn day fairn Lear du gust. Nare do zine wen ze Nare. Opt to zinech Rite ahn loohen." (Of course it is.) That makes perfect sense except there's the added sound of water pouring over rocks which upon close examination (both visual and aural) you see/hear the shushing sound is coming from the mirror which appears to be a frame around falling water. You reach out your hands and your reflection reaches out her hands. You step face first into the water and the advance refracts your reflection into a million shards of ice ( how did it freeze all the sudden? Why are you asking me, how the hell should I know I'm not making this up.) Once inside the mirror you notice a bright light emanating from the back of the ornate frame (also a swag of wire used to hang the mirror; presumably) and it causes your shadow to lurch twice your height up the side of the barn (mirrors are grown on farms) where owls are screeching, (you guessed it) "Nare do see fare to su. Ohn day fairn Lear du gust. Nare do zine wen ze Nare. Opt to zinech Rite ahn loohen."
