Kind of Blue 2019 15 Miles Davis Vinyl Records Contains 4 Blue Miles Davis Albums. I used one of the greatest trumpet players of all time, Miles Davis vinyl records for this piece. I enjoyed the blue vinyl I was able to find. I feel it fits with the emotions you can get when listening to jazz. "Art decorates space, music decorates time" In my work, I try to convey the quote above. It is myself trying to visually show how music makes me feel. My hope is that it brings the same feeling to you about my work. I only use vinyl with errors, scratches, warped, or records reproduced currently. It can take me weeks or years to find records for pieces and sometimes I only find one ever. I carve them out with a wood-burning tool and then sand and mount them to a wood panel. It is framed at 31" with a black floater frame.
