Laine n°42 Collage

This work can be thought as a border or a field, or like a boundarie. It is made by felting wool and tread to create a textile. The fibers of carded wool, thanks to the reaction of hot water and soap, stand up and overlap each other to create the felt. The material is irreversibly transformed, freezing time into the form, the drawing into the material. My work plays with this organic materiality, animal and vibrational. My work is pictorial without using painting. This material doesn't need any protection from the dust, and is really able to stand the test of time because of its physical properties. Each work is laminated on a solid wooden frame.
