Magic Collage

Olga Casanova is a Spanish artist who is currently living in Poland after living in the UK for a decade. She creates abstract paper collages. Stories of women of everyday life are her biggest inspiration. "My collages are a reflection of my mood and are representative of my own thoughts and concerns as well as being random, free, and expressive. Every creation is a test creating a personal learning process." After graduating in Graphic Design Olga found herself drawn to working using low-tech methods rather than computers. This allowed greater control of colour, shape, and space. She feels this immediate hands-on connection with her work crucial to her creative process. Olga makes collaged works combining images and mark making with the use of scraps of screen printing and risograph prints.
