About The Artwork

File under M, for Memory Me : A Series. The world changed in 2020 and I’m not sure if it got bigger or smaller since Covid. These photographic images presented in a cellular way help bind memories I never want to forget, and wish to preserve in a bright canon. Reappropriating my previous photography relinquishes past frames giving them freedom to change sizes and shapes in a branded iconic way. The image, the icon, the Statue of Liberty, stuck within the small liddle boy's head, parodying Trump to a little boy's portrait, and the realization that America will no longer be the same, and Liberty will be nothing but a memory as the world burns down around us in such a chaotic and violent way.

I love exploring and pushing the boundaries with new work and old work. My main medium is photography, and I do love shooting and editing video. Going back in previous catalogues like swimming deep in the ocean to find the relics of the past to bring them to light. The bright graphic colorful series "File Under M for Memory Me." explores my images in a bold representational kind of way of points in my life that i feel are bullet points of icons. The world changed in 2020 and I’m not sure if it got bigger or smaller since Covid. These photographic images presented in a cellular way is what binds my memory and preserves the future of my photography canon. Reappropriating my previous photography giving them freedom to change sizes and shapes in a branded morphing way. The image, the icon, the flashes of memories that help me remember who I am. Graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, CA. Los Angeles for 7 years, and presently living in Richmond, VA.
