About The Artwork
Most of my work is not planned but comes from my subconscious so much so that at the time of making it I often don't comprehend quite what I was saying. This piece came about naturally from the materials I was using at the time, mainly cuts from old newspapers and magazines. The texture at the top is the cover of a payslip which I found very intriguing. The piece explores Ideas of time and eternity and the experience of being at the end of the world. It is heavily inspired from my Christian faith and particularly (I realise in retrospect) texts about eternity.
