Art Description

Collage: Paper, Paint, Acrylic, Graphite, Monotype on Canvas.

This collage on a circular shaped canvas is part of a new series. The circle has been present in my artwork for many years. As an ancient symbol in many cultures it represents infinity, being complete, and being whole.
To create my collage paintings I works with different kinds of paper and acrylic paint.
My work for me represents the process of every day life; collecting experiences, impressions and places, getting older, remembering and forgetting.

I use handmade papers as well as bought and found papers and print material. I also use papers that I have monoprinted and I use my own photographs, sometimes collaged and sometimes as image transfers. In the process of layering with paper and paint all the papers are embedded in acrylic medium. To make sure that the artwork is highly light-fast I use GOLDEN Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers).
