Transition 18 and 22, Pair Collage

Two mixed media collages, sold as a pair, each 8x8 inches. Original artwork on Hahnemuele Copperplate paper. Sold unframed. Framed dimensions of each piece will be approximately 12 x 12 inches. At the beginning of 2016, Jackie Leishman and Patrice Dworkin initiated TRANSITION | COLLABORATON BY MAIL , which enabled them to work with each other remotely. Each artist began a visual conversation on an 8 x 8 inch square of paper, leaving room for her collaborator to respond. The pieces were exchanged via U.S. Post. Experience has shown that our work has greatest resonance when it’s inspired by one or more additional sources of information and energy. It’s the third element that brings THE FOURTH ARTIST to life. For The Transition Project, the triangulation was created by the loss of a relationship, and its impact on the collaborative process.
