Vocal Exercises No. 2, was inspired by the beauty of bird song and the instrument of the human voice. It was created with a vintage page of sheet music from an 1890's music instruction book. On top of that is a beautiful vintage illustration of a bird in song. There is also vintage maps, illustration of butterflies and flowers, and two wonderful blue stamps from Egypt. This work of art was created on a cradled and archival hard board panel. It's small scale makes it a perfect work of art for an intimate space. It can be hung on the wall or simply stood up a shelf or ledge. It would be the perfect gift for any music lover or bird lover.

Artist statement: Collage lends itself to improvisation, spontaneity and the unexpected discovery. I begin with no final product in mind but put something down and respond to the materials and try to find images that resonate with each other. Sometimes this happens quickly but more often it takes a long time before I complete a collage. I have always been drawn to the surrealistic, the poetic image and the dreamlike.
