About The Artwork
I have had anxiety since childhood but was never diagnosed. I was just called "shy." It wasn't until my children were diagnosed that I realized that I also had it. The constant negative voices of doubt are the biggest stumbling block to living a life with anxiety. Learning how to accept anxiety exists but not letting it overtake your mind and be in the driver's seat of your life is the key. A difficult but not impossible task. This piece is inspired by my family and their continued struggles. They are my super heroes! This piece was one of my focal artworks shown at my exhibit at the Westheimer Gallery in Sharonville, Ohio in May, 2019, titled, "Mindful Metamorphosis." The original sold.
