“William S.Burroughs. Port Of Saints” 2013 This fantastic psychedelic portrait is created using mixed media. It is dedicated to the legendary figure of the 20th century, the American writer of experimental novels that evoke, in deliberately erratic prose, a nightmarish, sometimes wildly humorous world. William S. Burroughs was a primary figure of the Beat Generation and a major postmodern author whose influence affected popular culture as well as literature. Burroughs wrote eighteen novels and novellas, six collections of short stories and four collections of essays. Five books have been published of his interviews and correspondences. He also collaborated on projects and recordings with numerous performers and musicians and made many appearances in films. This bright surreal portrait was created from many subtle collage details, using fluorescent paint, oracals, scraps of photographs, graphic drawings, and found objects.
