Contact us.My work transforms the visual fragments of the city into contemporary digital art. Through a distinctive creative process that combines minimalist drawing, urban photography, and digital collage, I create portraits and compositions that bring together the precision of graphic design and the raw, unpredictable energy of the streets.
My artistic practice began with physical paintings and collages made from torn street posters. Over time, I developed this approach into a digital process that allows me to explore new possibilities while preserving the essence of my original inspiration: the textures, colors, typography, and visual chaos of the urban environment.
Each artwork begins with a digitally drawn, minimalist composition—often depicting a woman or a cultural icon—which provides the structure for the final image. I then photograph materials found in the streets, collecting an extensive visual vocabulary of torn posters, graffiti, rusted metal, weathered doors, and peeling paint transformed by human intervention and the passage of time.
These photographs become my raw materials. I select, crop, and assemble them digitally, carefully matching their colors and textures to the contours of the original drawing. Letters become part of a face, graffiti introduces unexpected bursts of color, and the textures of rusted metal contribute to the character of a figure. Typography plays a vital role; fragmented letters and incomplete words dissolve into shapes, textures, and visual rhythms, allowing viewers to discover unexpected relationships between form and text.
My work draws on the legacy of Pop Art, Street Art, and the tradition of décollage, referencing influences like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jacques Villeglé, and Mimmo Rotella. Although the final artwork is created digitally, its origins remain deeply physical and tangible. Every photographed fragment carries traces of a real surface and the constantly changing life of the city.
Ultimately, I seek to create art that exists between the figurative and the abstract, the designed and the accidental, the digital and the physical. By transforming the visual language of the streets into a personal artistic vocabulary, I invite viewers to look again at the world around them and discover the extraordinary possibilities hidden within the ordinary.
