Transcend to the serene shores of Africa with Jan Keteleer's luminous new painting, Girls in Africa Sail in a Boat. In this charming scene, local fisherwomen glide across glistening waters, their vessel dotted with handwoven nets hinting at the day's coming catch. Keteleer's talent for expressionism immerses us in the continent's soul, blanketing the painting in heat and harmony. Bold strokes shape the women's colorful garb, while smooth textures conjure the gentle lap of waves. Touches of white enliven the ripples, guiding our gaze across the composition's expert balance of figures and negative space. At 16 x 16 inches, this intimate vision invites art lovers into a meditative world where culture and nature entwine. Its rich acrylic palette and energetic brushwork reflect the vibrant spirit of Africa. Presented in a sleek black wood frame with Keteleer's signature gracing both painting and frame verso, this uplifting work promises to infuse its new home with the glow of life's simple joys. Let Girls in Africa Sail in a Boat transport you from the hustle of modern living. Here, through the artistry of Jan Keteleer, we rediscover life's nourishing rhythms in the grace of the everyday. This sublime, thought-provoking painting will stir your soul as you sail away on dreams of sandy shores and fishing skiffs swaying in the breeze.

Belgium
From his interests in both classical art and modern / contemporary art, Belgian artist Jan Keteleer (JanKé) works with different styles. Ancient art is one of his interests, but you can also find examples of his work in pop art and impressionism. If you browse through Jan Keteleer's portfolio, you will find beautiful nature scenes, pictures of animals or pop art-based nudes. After years working in commercial photography, he turned his interest to artistic black and white photography. Projects such as Speecless, Silent Dialogues and Roots with Taboo brought him fame. He was inspired by the problems of the multicultural society in Belgium, the coexistence of different national and ethnic groups, the issue of the language barrier and the lack of dialogue between the "old" (the native population) and the "new" Belgians (the immigrants). JanKé attaches great importance to the social significance of his works and integrates them into the context of public space (stations, airports and public transport), prompting the viewer to react and reflect. His projects have received the support of the organization Sprakeloos, which aims to use art to provoke discussion on social issues. He had numerous exhibitions in Belgium (in Antwerp, Bruges, Lier, Leuven and Ghent), in the U.S. (in Dallas and San Francisco) and in Poland (in Krakow).
