ABOUT THE ARTWORK

To paraphrase André Breton, I believe that images "exist in a wild state". I believe that they live their own existence, outside our reality, our rationality. I like to try to summon them and to fix them by using techniques of assembly, collage, composition, where they combine, hybridize, or respond to each other. Games of opposition, complementarity, dialogue, which leave room, beyond the subject, forms, patterns and colours, to an atmosphere, a sensation, a perception or a feeling. They emerge and assemble without hierarchy, in the fertile disorder of associations, charged with their plural references: museum pieces, artefacts from popular folklore, urban signs and images from the street, fashion photos, geometric or biological figures, exotic people and architecture…. Limited edition of 20 giclée prints on Hahnemuehle photo Rag 308gr MAT archival art cotton paper. Signed, numbered, unframed. Din A1 : 594mm x 841mm , or 23.4 x 33,1 inches A matt uncoated finish and lightly surface that ensures a rich and vibrant display of colours. Giclée is a printing technique used to obtain intense saturated colours as well as a greater variety of depth and nuances. Combined with the premium art paper, it guarantees archival conservation of colours for the highest possible age resistance.
