About The Artwork

Transformation is not a metaphor. The works deal thematically with digitalisation and its impact on people. The creation of a metaverse is on the agenda of the so-called digital giants and our society is undergoing a major transformation. But is it even possible to digitise people? To illustrate this transformation, I have created digital 3D meshes from portrait photographs and distorted them. These are then additionally painted over. In order to see the truth, something has to be taken away, so to speak. This also creates a kind of erasure. The works are realised without colour in order not to distract from the search for truth. As a digital artist, I am naturally in a dilemma. Am I allowed to ask these questions at all without providing an answer? PLEASE NOTE: The work will be produced exclusively as a unique piece with a certificate of authenticity for the respective buyer and the dispatch will be effected immediately afterwards. This will take about one week [+ shipping].
