This art work is inspired by the works of American Realism, especially Edward Hopper. The focus is on the blonde woman in a silk nightgown. She spends the weekend with her husband at Hopper Beach. Nevertheless, she remains lonely and isolated, the man prefers to stay away and goes smoking a cigarette on the beach. The relationship seems to be in crisis. You can feel the emptiness and tension at the same time. A long night is ahead, maybe there will be a thunderstorm. But probably nothing will happen, as is so often the case.
