As the Acacias sway in the wind so do the shapes of the redgums seem to sway on the ridge.

Art Description

Drawing: Pastel on Paper.

Walking in the Redgum forest of Wyrrabalong in May the Acacias are covered in blossom that causes the tall stems to bend in gentle curves and they dance in the breeze as the Redgums are silhouetted against the ridge behind.
The colours are a soft reaction to the gentle forest dance.
Pastels have a diffusion of mark and intensity of colour that encourages direct marks and colour use.
