About The Artwork

As he carried the weight of the world upon his shoulders, Atlas, the Greek god of navigation, who was responsible for carrying the Earth on his shoulders, suddenly felt a shift in the first decade of the 21st Century CE. In a massive shift, the burden resting squarely upon Atlas now is made up more of financial and economic problems than it has been in the past. And so this op-ed cartoon reflects that opinion about the current state of economics. With all that's gone wrong over the past ten years or so, is it really so surprising that the tired old Greek diety thinks to "shrug" the unusually heavy mass which is getting heavier with debt, bailouts, stimulus and other policies affecting the economic stability of the world? This drawing first illuminated a page on the Internet on July 28, 2013 at http://blog.optionsclick.com/2013/07/28/earnings-reports-boost-us-stocks in the binary options market update. There it was syndicated for investors, analysts, reporters and consumers, who all read the business opinion news in order to expand the breadth of their understanding of the markets. What would you do in Atlas' place? Would you keep on carrying the world, complete with all of its troublesome problems? Or would you just drop it and let fate have its way with the planet? Whatever you would choose, your actions would cause consequences which could impact people half a world away, even if you have no knowledge of the people whose lives it would touch. That is the nature of a global market. A drop here causes a wave there. Also known as the butterfly effect, a chain reaction of events stemming from the major topics drawn together in this comic strip panel could indeed spread around the world very quickly, and leave serious damage to the capital systems in place, if not sustained properly by the modern Atlases, also known as monetary policy institutions, like The Fed, the IMF, the World Bank, the European Central Bank, etc.

I am a binary options trading artist. The majority of my work-day online is spent reviewing graphs and data and then using that information to trade binary options and the best way I have found to accomplish that is to have some form of distraction so that your mind neurosis don't result in poor decisions. So I draw this art and publish it online, as I don't see the point of drawing something that is not going to be shared with the world. Some sites syndicate my work.
