About The Artwork

Bathing Women - Expressive Encounters with Nature The series "Bathing Women" from 1994 presents vibrant oil pastel drawings on paper, capturing women during their moments of immersion. Drawing inspiration from the Expressionist styles of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Otto Müller and Paul Cézanne, these artworks deftly reference the early 20th-century masters. Colors burst forth vividly on the paper, depicting women who are immersed in serene waters. The use of oil pastels adds a tactile quality to the pieces, intensifying their expressiveness. The women's postures convey both motion and stillness, forming an organic unity with the surrounding nature. This series offers more than mere studies; it captures the very instance when humanity harmonizes with nature. Through bold colors and expressive forms, these works pay homage to Expressionism while contemporaneously celebrating the melding of human form and the natural world.

Collage - Montage | Painting with fragments of "daily news". there is no way around art, art is the way projects - artrecycle | paperplaining | collaboration with artists Since 1994 I am coordinating the project "artrecycle"- global network - drawings on paper - recycling of art. "Give the paintings a second chance"- drawings, destined for the trash - the "forgotten paintings" are collected and used as material for collages, objects or installations. The technique "paperplaining" allows a wet colour application on newspaper. After the desiccation of the different art-materials, the newspaper is flat and protected. I love the lightness of paper, my favoured art material for paintings, collages, culptures and installations. Mostly I am working on those projects - artrecycle and paperplaining - collaboration with artists. Through the cooperation with other artists I have developed the idea of "collages of individual ideas". In the collection - Basic Studio & Outer space - you will find self explanatory photos about my work.
