ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This drawing on white paper, in the geometric style characteristic of the work of Jean-François Laurent, represents a Badminton player in action. It is part of the series of drawings specially created to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The line is simple and lively, the shading highlights the speed, movement and precision of the player. The three colored points (one blue, one white and one red) help guide the eye and lead it through the drawing. They are also an evocation of the French tricolor flag.
