My work is about form and shape and emotion. I use pastel and charcoal to create textures, layers and planes to capture the weight, tone and temper of my subject. Every human occupies space uniquely, with grace, balance and tension and weight. I work to pull the viewer in to discover the intricacies of the form, compelling them to spend time with the work examining each aspect and experiencing the contradictions and tensions
