This is an original drawing done with colored pencil about girl from Venice the capital city of northern Italian Veneto region. The inspiration came from my inner self as I gave the title once I began this piece. I used the blue colored pencil strictly to represent the waters upon which the city is built on. It is indeed the the floating city filled with a lot of romance. The water for me represents the renaissance, cultural, economic and artistic rebirth of the city. Known for love, the city of Venice was the main setting for William Shakespeare’s famous Romeo and Juliet. The city girl reminds me of someone really special who moved far from me for a long time. One interesting fact about the city of Venice is that cars are banned in the capital. I hope you love this piece.
