Inspired by the hanging roots of a tree, I started this piece earlier on in the Spring of 2011. It was originally done in a vertical format, the middle which you see here, stood by itself.

It was done after 'Pollen and Plant'. The little balls dangling here and there were conceived as fruits of a tree. The lines came about just the same way as the other ones from the same period -lines crossing each other. However, there was more intention as to where the lines go prior to starting a drawing in this period.

I knew there was not going to be a tree trunk and there would not be a tree top either. The lines would only go vertical with a slight bend. I then proceed. There are of course some short horizontals; the reason for these is to break the flow and let the eye breathe. For any prolonged lines, there must be some breaks in between, it is a breathing room, a comma in writing, for us to easily digest the given information.

I tried to sell this one among 'Fishing', 'Balancing Act' and 'Cityscape' at 'The Works' downtown Edmonton. The event is an annual art fair here. I only took part in 2011, with $1000 in rental of space, I sold quite a few but not enough to justify further commitments. This piece was one of the unsold, when one day I happened to view it from the unsold pile in a horizontal format.

These sparks of idea come along so naturally and from nowhere. It is times like this that makes an artist feel his reason of existence. I saw that this was only part of a work; it was incomplete. More could be done on either end when I view it horizontally. So the tentacles continue into the left and right, making this 'octopus' swimming alive on the papers. This became a triptych. Incidentally, I was working on diptych works, 'Underwater' and 'Birds' a while back, but never realize the possibility for this one.

Having completed the 'tentacles', there were still ample space left. I was drawn to treasure space at this time, but the emptiness was still too much. 'Repetition' is always one of my best solutions to visual problems, I regard. Our surrounding consists of similar things in different sizes, it is always easy to capture life in a work by means of repeating the image. Picture is about presenting an image of a different world and what more reassuring an element than repetition when an artist needs to prove his private imaginary world exists? The concept of stardom seems to work the same as we see repetition of a face and became familiarize by the public, we then call him a celebrity!

Nine circles were added to balance the two side pieces. Ending this piece with the name 'Cloud 9' seems to fully describe the unexpected ecstasy in making this work complete

The findings of my paintings/drawings has gone beyond the discovery stage. The work is substantiated with an authentic concept. Kire has demonstrated a lifetime of exploration in the use of lines, ones that are expressive, experimental and calligraphic. Examining the years, this is a world of his own, Kire’s belief in score music over Klee/Miro’s musical presentations. He brings us a step closer to the musical world in the lines of melody that flow and tie elements tightly into compositions. The intention of where the notation drops should be precise if one is a good composer, therefore the artist should follow suit. Kire believes that grace overpowers trends and fashion. It is this which transcends the images for generations to appreciate. Whichever era we are in, we are that same human possessing the same emotional needs, requiring that same art quality to fill that appetite. ___________________________ THE VISION. Grace does not come overnight and it is the years behind that makes an Art precious. 8 virtual Exhibitions: https://lnkd.in/ggHU4aP    Automatic characters 2.0 https://lnkd.in/gJtzc4J  Automatism between words and lines https://lnkd.in/gNqks86 animated Automatic paintings https://lnkd.in/g9Hcjku Automatic Revelations https://lnkd.in/g4qsxZQ 25 Automatic Extractions https://lnkd.in/gMx8Hgv Automatic Foundation https://lnkd.in/gKTR3Ew Mastering improvisation https://lnkd.in/gdZY4WU Chance Photography
