About The Artwork
Morten Orelainen, born in 1987 in Katowice, Poland. Morten is a Polish young artist, whose drawings portray women bodies. In Morten’s relations this is to express his inner feelings and show that the moment for a better life is here and now. Young women are the symbol of a „born again” soul, chances, but also nation, as Morten was strongly influenced by political changes in Poland, that took place in 1989. As Morten Orelainen says, those times were a great unknown, nobody knew, what will happen the next day, so hope for a „reborn” was essential to survive. And such emotions you can easily get from his pictures. Enjoy!
