About The Artwork
The story of Echo and Narcissus is a well-known myth from Ovid's Metamorphoses. Physical representation of the nymph and Narcissus is replaced by a scene of the forest. The call of Echo is breaking and pulling down the whole landscape. Entire horizon is collapsing towards Narcissus (daffodils), following her longing and despair, but he remains untouchable and self-sufficient.
