Betül Yüksel is an interdisciplinary visual artist based in Izmir, Turkey. With a background in sculpture and a deep passion for painting, she creates original, emotionally charged works inspired by the sea, memory, and movement. Her practice spans sculpture, oil painting, pastel, and watercolor, often leaning into abstract expressionism and the raw textures of nature. Through fluid gestures, impasto techniques, and bold color contrasts, Betül explores internal emotional states, bodily presence, and the quiet drama of underwater life. Recurring themes in her work include: – The movement and transformation of water – Feminine memory and rural identity – Organic forms and layered emotional landscapes Her artworks are known for strong color palettes—especially deep blues, earthy reds, and vivid yellows—and a tactile connection to materiality. In addition to her studio-based practice, she has produced large-scale outdoor sculptures and continues to grow her art brand “Studio Rachaelin” as a space for both introspection and connection.
