Born in 1978, Mélissende Scott de Martinville lives in Bordeaux and works on an «itinerant workshop» way, surrounded by nature, from the moors of Gascony to the Provençal garrigue. She creates instinctively, in a vital impulse. His first drawings are executed on the "motif": instantaneous retranscription of a landscape, a look, a silhouette, placed on a sketchbook. Her paintings are narrative. They speak of what touches her and question nature, with softness and poetry. Shapes, curves, movements, her subjects are treated in a raw and “original” way. She works the layers, the materials. She makes free use of color. Mélissende paints a tribute to nature, an invitation to live in harmony with the world around us; also a call: to connect to the present moment and take care of our environment. French, she divides her time between France and Argentina. The vibrations of this continent enrich her palette and her feelings. What moves her inspires her. Emotion guides her actions.
