About The Artwork
This work from the 1980s belongs to an earlier work period. Abstract and minimalistic bird’s eye view of „two individuals are exploring the world, encounter each other occasionally and eventually meet and stay together“. This plot (enlarged) was a gift to a friend on the occasion of his marriage in the 1980s. Algorithmic art, written in the programming language FORTRAN, and plotted using HPGL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language) in April 1981 (I don’t recall the details of the plotting device). Early monochrome and minimalistic example of art sometimes called „generative art“ or „creative coding“ nowadays.
