A graphite study drawn from a plaster cast of the bust of Hercules, from life. Worked in fine hatching, building the form through light and shadow. Part of my academic drawing practice — observing how light moves across a sculpted head, nothing from memory or photograph.

Contact us.I'm a realist painter based in Chișinău, Moldova, born in 1996. For the past two and a half years I've worked exclusively from life — oil paintings and graphic work in pastel and sauce.
I paint from observation because it teaches me to see. Setting up a subject, watching how the light shifts across the day, reading a model's state, analyzing what's in front of me — that process is where the work lives. It keeps me in the present.
My subjects come from studies. I set up a still life and return to it under different light, in different hours, watching how it changes. I paint outdoors as often as I can. Moldova feeds the work — its traditions, its decor, the rural landscape, the things that are disappearing. Alongside that, I work in portrait, figure, and nude.
I'm not after a perfect copy of what I see. I'm after what holds my attention long enough to understand it.
