This sketch made by Winsor markers of Hypatia 370 : 415 AD. She was a Hellenistic Neoplatonist philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt (Roman Empire). She is the first female mathematician whose life is reasonably well recorded. she was murdered by the conservative people who were against her ideas.
