This is a portrait of my grandmother and it's part of an ongoing textile family album. I wanted to pay tribute to the one who taught me almost all my textle skills. I've tufted in the background a phrase that reads "Mi abuela me ha enseñado a tejer mi propia ropa, a tejer un abrigo, a buscar...." (My grandmother taught me to knit my own clothes, to knit a coat, to look for ....)

Austrian- Chilean visual artist raised in Chile and living in Madrid. I use "low-tech" ways of making to create contemporary works which are just different times from a life-long ongoing process. I often look for new ways of using used and recycled materials and try to use mediums coming from different sources.
