About The Artwork

The painting titled "Matter, Structure, and the Cognition of Futility" explores the interplay between materiality, organization, and the existential quandaries that arise from the recognition of futility. The central motif of the painting is the juxtaposition of order and chaos, represented through geometric shapes and abstract forms that seem to collide and overlap in a tumultuous dance. This tension between structure and disorder reflects the inherent struggle to impose meaning and coherence onto a world that often defies our attempts at comprehension. The title further emphasizes this theme by introducing the concept of "cognition of futility," suggesting a recognition of the inherent limitations of human understanding and the existential angst that accompanies the realization of the ultimately transient and impermanent nature of existence. Frame size: 40 cm H x 30 cm W x 1,5 cm D
