About The Artwork
This is a homage portrait to my late father Charles Navarro. A kind man with solid moral values. He loved Valletta FC and Malta's capital city Valletta. We lived in its stubborn, Floriana, 5 mins walk from the capital and Valletta's major football rival. He loved his espresso and cigarette in the morning in Valletta's many cafes and enjoyed viewing the Co-Cathedral of St John the Baptist where he took me as a child to view Caravaggio and the frescoes by Mattia Preti.
