About The Artwork
"My Little Scorpion." Is a portrait drawing of Vanessa Ives played by Eva Green in the TV series Penny Dreadful. I used a 0.2 fine liner using stippling as shading with watercolour for the scorpion. The scorpion behind stems from a scene in the series where she learns about witchcraft and black magic. Her teacher then calls her "My Little Scorpion". The chosen stippling style and one bright area of colour developed from my degree work, and was hoping to have a bit of a Gothic feel about the drawing as the Tv series is quite dark.
