About The Artwork
This work is the collation of some of my regular, and recurring, nightmare scenarios. Rather than being the 'wake up screaming and sweating' variety, they are often more like the menacing, fear-filled and ominous variety. The birds....circling in the sky, awaiting my downfall, ready to swoop, able to pick me apart. The buildings...rising up to mountainous heights, from under my feet, caging me in, holding me prisoner. The red...the blood of people I love, who suffered and who are now gone. Smeared, rather than dripping, their existence and demise right in front of my eyes. The French Star of David Badge from Nazi occupied France in WWII....demarking those who are destined and doomed to die, to be earmarked for misery and a certain end. This has very personal connections.

My lifelong love of words is prominent in my art.
