About The Artwork
The orangutan is part of the endangered animals series. My aim with this piece was to portray the gentle nature and human expression of the animal. I wanted the viewer to look at the face of the orangutan and feel good. It was also important to me to draw a spotlight to the palm oil industry and deforestation of these beautiful animal’s habitat.
