Ramses II Drawing

I attended the G.Rietveld academy for arts in Amsterdam [1986 - 1990] and I have made paintings from 1990 till 2000 now I work with photography and computer. I had exhibitions in many different Galleries in the Netherlands and also in various other countries.i am working with photography and computer. my series of flowers are computer manipulated pictures of real flowers.I scanned real flowers and made sometimes subtle, sometimes bigger adjustments to them on the computer.By cutting them out and enlarging them they sometimes get a kind of erotic meaning, but:flowers are in the end the propagation organs of plants and trees.... - the Pharaoh Portraits are drawings and computer manipulations of pictures of the old Egyptian Pharaohs .. for me it's interesting that the old Egyptian Pharaohs wanted to be immortal and that their mummified bodies are still present in our time.. - lately I am also working with analogue photography .. because it's often unpredictable ( I use expired film ) and I use in-camera manupilation like shooting 2 images over each other .. the pictures of the double trees and the dove are examples of this technique. I also like the dreamy effect of old style photography ( I use a Diana camera with a plastic lens ) it has very nostalgic effect, which I like at the moment..
