It's a strange ordeal for both concerned, being able to glide into each other, re-arrange until they become one entity and adopt, appropriate chromosomal make-up. If they look down they can see everything in motion, vibrating and selecting as the pairing takes place. It's as if the whole operation is being motorised by an invisible power .
